Our story

Sustainable Innovation Group was founded on a simple belief: innovation should not come at any cost—it should create lasting value for business, markets, and society. In today’s volatile environment, executives face mounting pressure to deliver growth while navigating political, ecological, and social headwinds. We help leaders turn this challenge into opportunity, designing strategies and innovations that deliver measurable impact and long-term resilience.

Leadership

Kelly Cooper is the Founding Partner of Sustainable Innovation Group. As an innovation strategist, entrepreneur, and consulting leader, she has advised numerous global companies on growth, technology and competition across global markets. She has worked extensively with boards, C-suites and executives to shape market-leading business models and has built and led global teams to deliver capabilities in innovation, operations, and transformation.

A former enterprise software founder and CEO, Kelly brings a holistic perspective on capital markets, technology growth cycles, and scaling strategies. Her career spans roles at Battery Ventures, Simon-Kucher, Ernst & Young, and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Her passion for equitable capitalism, clean technology, and planetary conservation catalyzed a transition into sustainability leadership. Today, she partners with organizations to unlock economic transformation that aligns ecological, financial, and social outcomes.

Kelly is currently completing her master’s degree in Sustainability at Harvard University, where her research focuses on impact investing, climate technology and sustainable markets. She has published original research on corporate sustainability, greenhushing, and “Constancy of Purpose” as a framework for building resilient strategies under political and market pressure.

Beyond her professional work, Kelly is committed to developing the next generation of leaders. She has served in numerous leadership development roles throughout her career, including on the board of Play Like a Girl, a nonprofit that empowers young women to pursue competitive careers and leadership roles through skills gained in sports.
